A Living Testimony: Olórun Alágbára Arrives at Watchmen of Nigeria

One of the greatest blessings of the Watchmen of Nigeria ministry has been witnessing how Jesus Christ continues to transform lives through ordinary people who choose to trust Him. Today, we are honored to share two new songs that have been added to our growing collection of worship music. These songs were written and originally sung by our dear brother and fellow watchman, Adeyemi, as expressions of his personal walk with Jesus Christ. Some were inspired through dreams, while others were born from quiet moments of prayer, worship, and reflection on God's faithfulness. Every lyric is original and deeply personal, pointing listeners toward the Lord Jesus Christ, for whom every song was written.

To help preserve these testimonies, our music studio carefully used AI to remaster Adeyemi's original recordings. Rather than replacing the heart behind the music, the goal was to faithfully enhance the original audio while preserving the message, emotion, and testimony that God has written throughout his life. Our hope is that these songs can now be shared with believers around the world as enduring testimonies of the goodness of God.

One of these new releases, Olórun Alágbára, meaning "The Almighty God," carries a testimony that has forever marked our ministry.

The story began in December 2024 when Adeyemi experienced a deep conviction from the Holy Spirit. As he faithfully studied Scripture with our online Bible study group, God's Word exposed something that could no longer be ignored. His job provided for his family, but it required dishonesty. The conviction became impossible to silence. He understood exactly what obedience would cost. Walking away from that income meant placing his wife, his children, and every future plan into God's hands with no visible safety net. Yet after much prayer, he chose Christ over security. What followed became one of the greatest demonstrations of faith we have ever witnessed.

The storms came quickly. Construction on the family home came to a halt. Financial pressure mounted. The strain placed enormous weight on his marriage and family. Depression pressed against him, old temptations resurfaced, and every visible circumstance seemed to argue that he had made the wrong decision. Our ministry wanted desperately to help, yet at that time Watchmen of Nigeria did not even exist as an organized ministry. Our own finances were stretched beyond their limits, and we were unable to send financial support. The only gift we could consistently offer was prayer. So we prayed, and we prayed fervently, asking God to sustain a brother who had chosen obedience above comfort.

As winter turned into 2025, the trial deepened. Month after month, eviction threats loomed over the family. Food often became scarce. New hardships appeared before old ones had disappeared. It seemed as though wave after wave crashed against them without relief. Looking back now, we believe God was restraining an even greater flood of disaster while quietly strengthening a faith that could not be shaken. Through it all, Adeyemi never stopped studying God's Word. Week after week he remained committed to learning, praying, and drawing near to Christ. Instead of allowing suffering to define his life, he deliberately chose gratitude. He praised God for every lesson, every friendship, every encouragement, and every reminder that Jesus had not abandoned him. Although he did not know how the story would end, he had already settled the most important question. He belonged to Christ whatever the cost.

Then, in October 2025, something remarkable happened. One answered prayer opened the door to many others. Our organization connected with Across Nigeria and met Pastor Brad, who immediately shared our desire to serve believers on the ground in Nigeria and he had the power to do so, since Across Nigeria is headquartered there. Pastor Brad and his crew went out to meet Adeyemi and his family. Now America was involved in one broken man's life- the power of the Living God was activated. Help began modestly. A meal here. Encouragement there. Simple acts of kindness became visible reminders that God had not forgotten His servant Adeyemi. Soon those small beginnings became something much greater. Support from overseas from anonymous givers arrived alongside willing hearts in Nigeria, and together God multiplied what seemed impossible. The abandoned construction project that had stood still for so long suddenly came back to life. Walls began to rise. Work resumed. Neighbors watched in amazement, wondering how a man without a job could possibly continue building. Yet the answer was never found in human strength. The answer was found in the faithfulness of God.

From that point forward, miracle after miracle unfolded. Healing began to spread throughout Adeyemi's family. His marriage grew stronger. His wife's business was blessed. Doors opened that no person could have forced open. Prayer after prayer found its answer in God's perfect timing. The list of miracles became so long that it became difficult to recount them all.

Out of that season came this song: "Olórun Alágbára".

This song is far more than music. It is a testimony. It declares that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is still alive, still faithful, and still mighty to save. It reminds us that the God who parted the Red Sea continues to work in the lives of those who trust Him. Adeyemi's story is ultimately not about financial provision, restored construction, or even answered prayers. It is about the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Through the Word of God, the Holy Spirit reshaped his heart before He changed his circumstances. The greatest miracle was never the house, the provision, or the opportunities. The greatest miracle was a man who chose to follow Christ regardless of the cost.

Today, Adeyemi continues to walk with the Lord, and his testimony continues to encourage believers across Nigeria and beyond. His life stands as a reminder that obedience is never wasted, that God's promises remain true, and that those who wait upon the Lord will witness His faithfulness in ways they could never imagine. The narrow road Christ calls us to walk is often difficult, but it is filled with the presence of the One who never leaves nor forsakes His people.

As you listen to Olórun Alágbára, we invite you to hear more than a beautiful melody. Listen for the testimony behind every word. Listen for the evidence of God's sustaining grace. Listen for the story of a man who discovered that when everything else is stripped away, Jesus Christ is more than enough.
